The shelter environment is being improved.

Today was another cold day with a sprinkling of snow.

We distributed the donated bedding with the help of volunteer mountain guides. The evacuees also joined in the effort, saying, “We’ll help!” In no time at all, we had mattresses, quilts, and pillows with covers attached and ready for distribution. Everyone was delighted with their new comforters. However, we will continue to conduct a survey to determine the comfort level of the bedding.

We have been supporting the victims of the disaster, but we have always heard encouraging voices from them. There are those who proactively communicate HuMA’s activities on a personal basis and extend the circle of support, saying, “You are like a ray of sunshine, supporting us and for that we are grateful.” There are also those who are worried about us working hard until late every day and kindly ask us, “Do you get a good rest?”

We are very happy to know that they are showing such kindness to us in the midst of their uncertain evacuation life, and we would like to respond to their kindness.

Setting up the bedding together with all the evacuees, volunteers and supporters. We wish them a pleasant rest.
