Connect to emergency medical services

We had many emergency cases.

We saw a dehydrated patient who had an IV infusion yesterday. There was also a drop in blood oxygen level, so we transported him by ambulance. We were relieved to be able to connect him to the hospital because he had a pneumothorax complication.

An evacuee who is being treated for Parkinson’s disease is having difficulty with daily activities and has increased sputum production. We went to see the patient. He had a fever and was suspected to have pneumonia.

A couple was staying at their home when a landslide was imminent. We werer asked to check on them and their health. The government office did not have the capacity to respond at this time.

When we went to the house, we found a couple in their 70s in a house where the mud and sand had reached the exterior walls. The husband has dementia and the wife has weak legs and hips, and they were staying at home because it was difficult for them to stay in the evacuation center.

Their health seemed to be fine, but they were not able to eat enough. After notifying the relevant departments, we transported them to the hospital.

Reports from other organizations indicate that there were some transports today for mental illness. The medical situation is not likely to settle down yet.
