The huge earthquake of magnitude 7.9 struck to Nepal on April 25th. As of April 29th, according to Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System (GDACS), more than 5,000 people are confirmed dead, more than 10,000 injured, and over 8,000,000 people affected. Responding to to the earthquake disaster, HuMA sent a survey team from May 9 and medical teams in sub-acute phase (May16-June6) that is about one month after the disaster. The objectives of deployment of medical teams were:
(1) To provide primary care for the earthquake victims.
(2) To reduce the burden of the medical staff of the PHC in Ramche.
(3) To promote hygiene awareness among the residents in order to prevent infectious diseases.
