Medical Activity 2018 Western Japan Floods

2018 Japan Floods
Unprecedented heavy rain that hit in various areas of western Japan from July 5th, 2018 caused enormous flood damage and landslides. HuMA immediately sent an assessment team and dispatched the medical teams in the devastated area from the 11th until the end of July. From October 2018, we have been prooviding health consultations and aroma therapy event once a month.

<Health Consulting and Aromatherapy Event>
HEALTH CONSULTING and AROMATHERAPY EVENT (facebook article: Jan, 2019)
Period: October 2018 – ongoing project (as of September 2019)
Japanese Society of Aromatherapy and HuMA are holding the health consulting and aromatherapy event in Mabi, Okayama Japan once a month starting from October 2018. Some victimes come to our consulting counter, and they consult about sleepless, abnormality of smell, exhoustion for child rearing, and so on. Some of them look forward this event, and a few refugees got reunion here fortunately. We are providing the place for refugees to get together and revive with resilience. To make this event last as long as needed, please support us!



<Health Consulting>
HEALTH CONSULTING PROJECT
Period: August 4 – August 25, 2018
Members: Total of 15 – Doctor(4), Nurse(8), Logistician(11)
Objective: To provide health consultation on Saturday in August, and serve as a liaison between patients with local clinics and hospitals that are recovering.

After providing extensive assistance in the areas affected by floods, our last medical team returned home safely. Thank you very much for all of your support; your donation was a great encouragement to people in Mabi-city.
