HuMA Seminar

This was the first online training using Zoom, and it was a meaningful training session with more than 20 participants from all over Japan and overseas. Participants learned through classroom lectures and group work what they need to know when working in disaster-affected areas as a member of HuMA.

Here are some of the participants’ comments:

  • I was able to learn about HuMA’s dispatch flow, philosophy and activity policy, as well as concept of humanitarian and support activities in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • I was able to think about the issues through small group discussions, rather than just listening to a one-way lecture.
  • The latest knowledge was incorporated in the lectures.
  • It became clear what kind of preparation and study should be done not only during activities but also in normal times.
  • It was easy to understand even for beginners who have no experience in overseas assistance because they could hear about actual experiences.
  • The training was conducted in a participatory manner to the maximum extent possible in an online format, and the content was designed to build face-to-face relationships as much as possible.

The entire management team would like to thank all participants for their active participation and valuable feedback.

Stay tuned for our next workshop!
