The 7th HuMA Kansai Study Session has ended

As part of HuMA’s training program, voluntary members living in the Kansai region plan and conduct study sessions on disaster medicine. They hold these workshops on a regular basis.

Group work: Where to learn about disaster medicine and humanitarian aid?

The 7th HuMA Kansai Study Session was held with 19 participants. Members who provided support for the Oku-Noto torrential rain disaster introduced their activities. The second half of the meeting was a group discussion on learning methods for disaster relief. In the introduction of activities, participants shared how the advance team decided to support nursing care and welfare facilities, specific activities to support nursing care, and their experiences as paramedics. In group discussions, participants exchanged opinions and shared information on what they learned and where they learned it necessary for disaster relief. Participants commented that they had reaffirmed the importance of supporting nursing care facilities and felt the importance of gaining not only knowledge but also practical experience.

The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 26 in Osaka City. We look forward to your participation.
