Even under the clear blue sky after yesterday’s rain, the HuMA team is continuing our support activities at the elderly care facility today.
For our afternoon recreation, we held a red-versus-white volleyball tournament using large balloons. With nostalgic Showa-era pop music playing in the background, participants moved muscles they don’t usually use, engaging in a heated match. Even those in wheelchairs joined in, making it a close game with 11 players on each side. It was a fun mini sports day for everyone.
We received warm words from the facility staff, who expressed their gratitude, saying, “Thanks to everyone from HuMA, we feel much more relaxed. Your presence has also lightened the staff’s workload.”
We are encouraged by the smiles and words of gratitude from the residents and staff, and feel a great sense of fulfillment in our work. HuMA’s activities will conclude at the end of this month. Although our time here is limited, we will continue to do our best to support the facility until the very end.
