10/24A new nurse has joined the HuMA team at the elderly care facility in Suzu City. She was one of the many who helped at the Horyu Elementary and Junior High School shelter during the recent earthquake, working side by side with the facility staff to assemble cardboard beds and distribute bedding. Overjoyed to see the nurse again, a staff member exclaimed, “Remember when we worked together on the beds and bedding?” It’s truly heartwarming to reconnect with people from the affected area and to have the opportunity to work together again.
10月25日The late October morning in Suzu was crisp and invigorating, perfect for a brisk walk. Dressed in our HuMA polo, we felt a renewed sense of energy as we made my way to the elderly care facility. With many residents requesting baths, our day was filled with activity. As the weather was so pleasant, we took the residents for wheelchair rides to the entrance, where the autumn leaves were beginning to turn, signaling the imminent arrival of winter.
