The water outage from yesterday has been resolved and business in the Elderly Care and Welfare was conducted as usual. In the morning, 5 residents took a bath. Because of the long distance to be transported and the steps, we took them to the bathroom with caution. After bathing, we assisted the residents in dressing and undressing. The set of clothes was clearly labeled with their names, so the HuMA nurse who had newly joined the activity was able to assist them without any confusion.
Afterwards, the beverages that the residents wanted to drink after bathing were also neatly chilled. They can choose juice, cider, or other beverages of their choice. These beverages are purchased from a nearby supermarket, and hygiene is taken into consideration without the hassle of making tea in poor water supply conditions. This is good for residents who have difficulty encouraging water intake. We felt that even under the bad conditions caused by the earthquake and flooding, ingenuity was used.
