“Due to a water supply disruption, bathing was canceled today.” The staff efficiently instructed us on how to change diapers during a water shortage, and we followed their directions.
Although the water supply was restored in the afternoon, bathing remained canceled, and we changed diapers again. However, this time, we returned to our usual procedures. The staff adapted to these changing circumstances with remarkable ease. Seeing this, we couldn’t help but wonder how long this situation had been going on.
Even so, the staff continued to respect the wishes of each resident and provided encouragement to draw out their individual abilities, just as they always do. We were deeply impressed by their professionalism.
No matter the circumstances, they always strive to do their utmost for the people in front of them. We are truly grateful for their resilience and determined to follow their example by diligently doing what we can each day.
