A smile after a bath and peace of mind (10.13)

From today onward, our team of two HuMA nurses will be collaborating with the elderly care facility. By assisting with diaper changes, we had a firsthand look at the facility staff’s expert techniques and were reminded of the crucial role of assessing residents’ ADL abilities.

In the afternoon, we helped bathe around 20 residents. The residents’ contented expressions underscored the significance of maintaining good hygiene. We were particularly touched by those who expressed their gratitude in the Noto dialect, saying, “Ah, that felt so refreshing.”

The night shift nursing supervisor thanked us, saying, “It’s invaluable to have someone who can simply sit and listen.” We are equally grateful for this opportunity. We will continue to adapt our support to meet the specific needs of the facility.
