Three nurses were dispatched on April 11-12, and all three are working hard in their responsible areas to reduce the burden on the Keiju Medical Center staff as much as possible. They have a variety of duties, including free-work standing such as blood glucose testing, administering insulin injection infusions, cleanliness care, and treatment, as well as follow-up, taking out operations, and first release after operations.
There are two nurses who will be leaving tomorrow, the 13th. Since today was the last day of work on weekdays, we took a commemorative photo with everyone, including the head nurse. We had a good time and had conversations with staff members whom we had not had a chance to talk with.
We hope to contribute to Noto in ways other than nursing, and we all explore the town after work. The building of a store, designated as a registered tangible cultural property, was quite damaged by the earthquake. After Corona had calmed down and tourists had finally returned to the area, this damage seemed to be painful both physically and mentally. At first, they refused to give interviews, but now they are positive and talked a lot about the importance of appealing to the public for reconstruction. It made us feel that we are going to do our best, too! In addition, only one hot spring facilities around Wakura Onsen have reopened, and the rest of the inns have not yet been able to reopen. Restaurants were lit here and there. We hope they will come back to life soon.
