Today, HuMA nurse was once again busy at the elderly care facility. As she was wiping the hands of a resident and sitting beside them, she encountered a resident who was particularly good at conversation. The resident spoke in a strong local dialect, which made it difficult for the nurse to fully understand. However, a facility staff member kindly and patiently bridged the language gap for the nurse.
“Even if you don’t understand the words, just nodding and listening makes the residents feel at ease,” the staff member said. These words deeply touched the nurse.
In the afternoon, there was a birthday party for those born in October. The male staff member’s lively hosting filled the room with laughter. Everyone’s smiles made today a wonderful memory.
And for today’s snack, it was Halloween-themed! The cook had hand-drawn cute faces on each cream bun and carefully arranged the grapes. These small daily acts of consideration bring comfort to the residents. The staff members, who themselves were once disaster victims, continue to dedicate themselves to bringing smiles to the residents, providing support and care to each individual. We, HuMA hope to continue supporting them in their efforts.
